AUBURN
Ada M. (LaPointe) Troy, 88, of Stoneville Heights passed away Mon., Oct. 6, in St. Mary's Healthcare. Her husband Ernest A. Troy died in 1982. She leaves a son, William J. Troy of Worcester; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Four children, William A. Troy, Elsie A. Appleby, Donna Troy and Katherine Parker and two sisters, Doris Provost and Elsie LaVallee predeceased her. She was born in Burlington, VT daughter of William J. and Elsie F. (Willette) LaPointe and graduated from Quinsigamond Community College. She served in the Coast Guard during WWII.
Ada was a secretary at Proctor & Howard Attorneys at Law. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the National Federation of the Blind, life member of the American Legion Tuttle Post, %23279 and did volunteer work at the Auburn Age Center and the Mass. Assoc. for the Blind.
The funeral will be held Thurs., Oct. 9, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church 189 Oxford St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. A visiting hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
