WORCESTER-Addie L. (McKinney) Adams, 100, died peacefully, Wednesday, March 10, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 49 years, Hosie R. Adams, Sr. predeceased her in 1983. She leaves four sons, James H. Adams in Chicago, Hosie R. Adams, Jr., Roosevelt Adams and Woodrow Adams, all of Worcester; three daughters, Mary Burrell, Eula M. Carter and Ola M. Evans, all of Worcester. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nephews and neices. She was predeceased by a daughter Ora Stevenson, a son Felix Adams, a grandson Lance Evans, Sr., two brothers and five sisters.

She was born in Doar, Mississippi, the daughter of Pent and Eliza (Bond) McKinney. Addie lived in Sunflower, Mississippi for all of her life until moving to Worcester in August, 2009. She belonged to the New Providence Baptist Church in Mississippi where she was the eldest Church Mother and sang in the choir.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 16 at Mount Olive Pentecostal Church, 60 Highland St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A visiting hour will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service in the church. Arrangements are under the care of CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street.
