WORCESTER - Agnes “Aggie” M. Fosua, 74, passed away Sunday November 19th, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Stephen Safo-Sampah, her sons Franklin Safo-Agyare & Keith Safo-Boateng, and daughter Gifty Safoa-Akyemah, along with 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many other relatives and in-laws. She is predeceased by her grandson Joseph M.Safo-Agyare of Worcester,MA, her parents Kwadwo Mensah & Akosua Serwaa, and two sisters Comfort Mensah & Grace Mensah all from Ghana,West Africa.
Agnes migrated to the United States from Ghana, West Africa in 1973, eventually settling here in Worcester, MA with her family in 1986. She pursued a 35 year career in nursing, where she was able to work as a CNA in many nursing homes and hospitals across the city doing what she loved, which was caring for the elderly.
She was a devoted Christian who attended ECG Ministries where she was known as “Mama Agnes”. Agnes was heavily involved in the ECG community, leading the prayer warrior circle for the congregation right up until her death. Other than church being one of her biggest and deepest passions; she enjoyed her time, traveling, reading, dancing, and spending time with family. Her heart was as big as her smile and she will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Funeral Services will begin at 8am on March 9, 2024 at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
