Alan R. Peterson

WORCESTER-Alan R. Peterson, 81, of Worcester passed away Sat., Nov. 3. His wife, Rita S. (Simmons) Peterson and his first wife, Margaret H. (Holmquist)Peterson Jennings predeceased him. He leaves two sons, Gary Peterson of Worcester and Alan R. Peterson, Jr. of Germany; his brother, Lee Peterson of Stow; four sisters, Elizabeth G. Hulbert, Joan-Ann Paro and Nancy Carlson all of Worcester and Lois Osterman of Georgia; nieces and nephews. Two brothers, John L. Peterson, Jr. and Howard Peterson and his sister, Dorothy Plaisance, predeceased him

He was born in Worcester the son of John L. and Laura G. (Wood) Peterson. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Alan was a deliveryman for The Nissen Bread Company and was a member of the Local 170 Teamsters Union. He was also a member of the Teamsters Retiree Club and Emanuel Lutheran Church.

The funeral will be Thursday, November 8 at 11:00 AM at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. There is no visiting hours.
