Albert C. Bates

AUBURN
Albert C. Bates, 86, of Auburn passed away Thursday, March 24. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Marie A. (Laurell) Bates; two sons, Gary P. Bates and his wife Charlene and Ronald A. Bates and his wife Michele all of Florida; a daughter, Nancy M. Snow and her husband David of Auburn; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A brother, Alfred P. Bates predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Clarendon P. and Flora (Whittles) Bates and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War.
Albert was a machinist at Johnson Steel and Wire, for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Quinsigamond American Legion Post %23318 and Bethel Lutheran Church.
The Funeral Service is private. Burial will be private in Howard Cemetery, Sutton.
