Beloved Albert Mungai Njoroge passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2021 at home. Mungai was born in Nairobi, Kenya, son of the late Prof. Raphael Joseph Njoroge and Lucy Wairimu Njoroge of Worcester. He is survived by his mother and siblings John Miru Njoroge, Margaret Njeri Mbugua, Irene Mumbi Dunjwa, Kenneth Mwicigi Njoroge and Christine Muthoni Njoroge. He leaves behind a niece, nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mungai was raised in Nairobi, Kenya and he attended school at Kenyatta Primary School, Mangu High School in Nairobi and Worcester State University in Massachusetts. He was a conscientious young man, a joker, a spiritual being who loved God and Family, reliable, dependable, loyal and always punctual. He had a warm, affable smile that lit up the world for all around him. He was a fierce debater, a poet and a philosopher at heart. He cared deeply for his family and shared an unwavering love and bond for his entire family, both immediate and extended. He will be missed dearly.
There will be a memorial service for Mungai on Saturday, October 30, from 6pm at St Andrew the Apostle Mission Church, 5 Spaulding St, Worcester, MA. The Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester is assisting with arrangements.
