WORCESTER- Alexander D. Smith, 21, passed away suddenly on July 14, 2018 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.

He was born on August 29, 1996, son of Cathleen (Crowley) Smith and the late David Smith. He was raised and attended schools in Worcester.

Alexander was a kind and generous person who was always ready to help someone in need. His interests was with science and technology. He enjoyed riding his bike and skateboarding around the city. He possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and taught himself how to repair cars and bicycles.

He will always be remembered and loved by his twin brother, Joshua Smith of Worcester; his Nanni, Barbara Crowley; an aunt, Patti (Crowley) DeCastro and her husband, Stephen; cousins, Andrew, Kirstin and Jacob and their children and many many more wonderful friends and family.

A Celebration Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 21 at the Freedom Worship Center, 141 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be private in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the New England Organ Bank at www.neds.org, a charity that Alex was an advocate for right up to the end of his life at which time five people became the recipient of generous gifts from him.
