WORCESTER-Alexander Tsouvalos, 77, of Worcester passed away Thursday, September 23 in his home, with his children by his side.
His wife, Agnes (Johnson) Tsouvalos died in 2003. He leaves three children, Corinne Tsouvalos of Webster, William Tsouvalos and his wife, Patricia of Woonsocket, RI and Kathleen Cronin of Worcester; two sisters, Fedarike Pantos of Worcester and Alexandra Anthanasiou and her husband, Evangelos of Worcester; five grandchildren, Alex and Brianna Tsouvalos, Christina and Michael Cronin and Ashley Byron and nieces and nephews. A grandson, Brandon Smith and a brother-in-law, Gregory Pantos predeceased him. He was born in Ephiras, Greece son of Vasilos and Eugenia (Papaianou) Tsouvalos and came to America in 1955.
Alex was a carpenter for the Worcester Housing Authority for many years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed hunting for good treasurers at yard sales on Sundays, but was always mindful of the time. He was always home in time to watch his beloved New England Patriots. Alex also loved collecting records and was longtime fan of the Beatles. He enjoyed making people laugh and his family will remember him for his great sense of humor and keen wit.
Funeral Services are private. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester, 01609 or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
