Alfred E. Query 87, of 1073 Main St. died Sunday, Dec.28, at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Ruth M. (Carlsen) Query; a son, Alfred E. Query Jr. of Auburn; two daughters, Nancy M. Watrous of Worcester and Peggy Mathews of Leicester; a brother, Arthur Query of Worcester; five grandchildren, Donald S. Jubinville Jr., Meagen A. Query, Michael K. Query, Bethany Lea Watrous, and Brian R. Watrous; a great-granddaughter, Mikayla A. Gallerani; and nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Doris Coffey and Annamae Barton, predeceased her. He was born in Worcester, son of Romeo and Jane (Lynch) Query. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He worked at the former Crompton Knowles Company for many years retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Main South American Legion Post %23341 and St. Joseph's Church.
A Funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec.31, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. Worcester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
