WORCESTER
Alicia M. Kelley, 83, of Worcester died Fri., July 6 in the Christopher House.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Dr. John J. Kelley and Maytie V. (Power) Kelley. Alicia graduated from the Doane Stuart School, received her BA in history from Manhattanville College and her MA in modern European philosophy from Catholic University of America. She then recieved her masters in education and a secondary masters in social studiesfrom Boston University.
Alicia was a history professor at Quinsagamond Community College for 30 years, retiring in 1992. She was a lifetime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. She was a member of the American Assoc. of University Women, the Presidents Council of the College of the Holy Cross and Past President of the Boston University Club of Worcester County and the Manhattanville Club of Worcester. Alicia's longtime friends would like to thank the staff at the Christopher House and the staff at Independence Healthcare Corporation, especially her dear friend Dotty Santiago.
The funeral will be held Tues., July 10, from Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held Tues. July 10, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
