Allen R. Seiple, Jr. 74, of Homestead Hall, 10 Homestead Ave. died Saturday, Dec. 18.
He leaves two sons, Allen R. Seiple III of Ludlow, VT and Robert G. Seiple of Northboro; two daughters, Susan R. Lee of Danvers and Melissa A. McHugh of Nassau, NY; a sister, Martha Baughman of Middletown, PA and 12 grandchildren. He was born in Dover, PA son of Allen R. and Elsie Seiple. Allen enlisted in the US Army in 1948 and served actively in the Korean War as a communications specialist in Okinawa. He then graduated from Penn State in 1959 with a degree in electrical engineering. Subsequently, he was employed at GE Corp. and designed test equipment for the Apollo Space Capsule. He later worked for several defense contractors in the New England area and worked on such projects as the Space Shuttle. His hobbies included mathematics, he enjoyed solving complicated mathematical puzzles.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, 26 Central St., West Boylston. Calling Hours are Monday, Dec. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., West Boylston.
