WORCESTER-Alleyne T. (Albrecht) Foley, 80 of 559 Plantation St. formerly of Drury Lane died Sat., Nov. 18 in Notre Dame Long Term Care.
Her husband, John J.B. Foley, M.D. died in 1991. She leaves seven children, John J. Foley, Jr. of Shrewsbury, Peter Foley of Bethesda, MD, Anne Foley of Worcester, Elizabeth Newell of Yorba Linda, CA, Ellen Rice of Concord, Paul J. Foley of Holden and Margaret Foley of Concord; twelve grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Conroy of Auburn. A son, Charles Foley died in 1962 and a sister, Barbara Albrecht died in 1955.
She was born in North Andover the daughter of Charles H. and Hazel (McCullough) Albrecht. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1944 and went on to graduate from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. Alleyne worked as a registered nurse in Worcester and Boston Hospitals. She was a member of the Worcester City Hospital Aid Society, Worcester District Medical Society Auxiliary and was an avid stock investor. Alleyne loved Cape Cod, travelling, collecting Ephemera, antiques and vintage sheet music. She was a caring, loving, thoughtful wife, mother and grandmother.
The funeral will be Tuesday, Nov. 21 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday, Nov. 20 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
