Ana Rosa (Altomari) Washington, 42, of 5 Douglas St. died Monday (Feb25) at home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 16 years, Warren P. Washington, two sons, Warren Washington and Dominic Washington both of Worcester, three daughters, Francisca Washington, Rosana Washington, and Natacia Washington all of Worcester, two step-sons, Paul Washington of South Carolina and Wardell Washington of Worcester, a brother, Leo R. Altomari of Las Vegas, NV, two sisters, Gladys Ruiz of Orange,NJ and Vivianna L. Altomari of Hampton, NH A brother Domingo Altomari of Provindence, RI died in 2001. She was born in Dahia Blanca, Argentina daughter of Antonio J. and Francesca E. (Bravo) Altomari. She graduated from North High School and attended Quinsagmond Community College.
She was a Mental Health Worker at Worcester State Hospital for 13 years retiring due to illness. Prior to that she was a private social worker for various Worcester Area Social Agencies and worked as a Nurse in the Nurses Pool for Various Worcester Hospitals. She also worked at the 181st Infantry with the Family Support Group in Worcester.
A Funeral will be held Thursday (Feb.28) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint John's Church 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Wednesday (Feb.27) from 6 to 8 p.m.
