WORCESTER-Ana Rosado, 82 years old of Worcester, MA, passed on to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2011. Ana was surrounded by her family, friends and caregivers at the Beaumont Rehabilitation Center. Ana was born on March 3, 1929 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Isabel Medina and the late Francisco Roman. Ana leaves behind two brothers Efrain Medina and Ramon Medina. Ana was married to Jose Rosado for 56 years, who predeceased her in 1998.

Ana was a loving mother to 13 children; Erohilda Soto, Anibal Rosado and his wife, Otilia; Ruben Rosado and his wife, Violeta; Benjamin Rosado and his wife, Maritza; Adelaida Rosado-Keane; Carmen Rosado Bailey and her husband Paul; Jose Rosado and his wife Marisol; Marisol Rosado Ledoux and her husband. John; Maria Rosado and her husband, Ramon Torres. Ramon Rosado, Alfonso Rosado, Norma Rosado and Nivia Ivette Rosado predeceased her. Ana was also a loving grandmother to 31 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Ana was a long time member of the Rock of Salvation Church in Worcester where she also studied theology. She rejoiced in speaking the word of God to all those around her and lived an exemplary Christian life through her words and actions for those in need.

Ana received many recognitions for her advocacy efforts in the 1970's to implement a bi-lingual education program for the many Latino families who were new to Worcester during that time. She worked as a child care giver for many families in Worcester. She also worked at Centro Las Americas and Latin Association for Progress and Action, in various capacities. She found most joy helping her church community raise funds to rehabilitate her place of worship.

Ana was most happy being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and friends. She was never too sick or too tired to help someone in need. Ana served our Lord Jesus Christ faithfully by always giving of herself and love to all people. She truly lived an honest, exemplary life full of goodness and kindness.

Viewing hours will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30th at the Rock of Salvation Church, 829 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610. A tribute service will follow from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Pastor Jose Perez will be officiating.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 31st, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bourne National Veterans Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Family and friends will convene at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the cemetery procession.
