Angela M. Borci

Miss Angela Marie Borci, of Worcester, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in The Autumn Village Nursing Facility. She was 87.

Angela was born March 31, 1922 in Worcester a daughter of the late Pasquale and Elisabetta (Ciampa) Borci and lived her life in her much loved Shrewsbury Street neighborhood. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Angie worked as a bookkeeper for the former Laner Company. She then worked with her brother, Renato, at his business, %E2%80%98Reno's Spa' located at 339 Shrewsbury Street for many years.



She leaves her brother, Renato F. %E2%80%98Reno' Borci of Millbury; many nieces and nephews including her nephew, David Boniface Borci of Worcester and her goddaughter, Renata A. (Borci) Miller of Millbury; grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and her sister-in-law, Jeanne M. (Bourdages) Borci of Worcester.


Angela is predeceased by her siblings, John, Boniface, Louis, Mario, Emilio %E2%80%98Cookie', Angela and her close cousin and best friend, Mary M. (Borci) Meola.



Angie was a phenomenal baker. With whomever she visited her infamous tadales, pizzelle's or other Italian goodies were in her hand as a gift. Angela had a lifelong devotion to God and her church, and lived up to her name by being an angel to those in need. She will be strongly missed by her loving family and by those who may not have known her personally, but have been blessed by her heartfelt generosity through the years.



She was a life communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel - St. Ann Church and its Golden Years Club. The family sends their heartfelt thanks to her friends and staff at the Mount Carmel Apartments and Autumn Village for the wonderful care and support shown to Angie over the last several years.

The Funeral is Saturday, November 28th from The Callahan-Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel - St. Ann, 24 Mulberry Street. Entombment will be in Saint John's Cemetery Mausoleum.



A visiting hour is 9:30 - 10:30 Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials in Angela's name may be made to Mt. Carmel - St. Ann Church, Building Fund, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester, 01604.
