Anita M Derosier

August 19, 1938 — September 10, 2020

Worcester-Anita M. (Lorion) Derosier, 82, went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband on Thursday, September 10, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester on August 19, 1938 daughter to the late Edmond W. and Lena M. (Eaton) Lorion. Anita graduated from Commerce High School and worked for Jordan Marsh as a salesperson as well as, Burncoat Jr/Sr High School as a baker.

Anita was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she sang in the choir and was also a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She and her husband, Homer, enjoyed years of camping all over the country with the Wyman Gordon Camper's Club.
Anita will be dearly missed by her four children Dianne M. Derosier of Shrewsbury, Michael F. Derosier and his wife June of Rutland, David J. Derosier and his fiancé Marcia Oliver of Worcester and Stephen W. Derosier and his wife Lisa of Worcester. She was a loving Grandmother to her five grandchildren Jessica Aucoin, David Derosier, Jr., Katelyn Derosier, Stephen Derosier, Jr. and Kelsey Wolfe and Great Grandmother to Arrianna, Avery and Maverick. She also leaves behind her sister, Dorothea Mellen, and her brother, Donald Lorion. Besides her parents, she was predeceased, by her husband of 62 years, Homer Derosier, and her brothers Edmond Lorion II, and Bernard Lorion.

Anita had many great friends. Thank you to Peg & Bob, Mary, Jackie & Tom, Eleanor, Joe & Vi and especially Regina who always brightened up her days. You were so much help in these final years.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Anita's life on Wednesday, September 16th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Callahan Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 17th at 10:00am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
