Brookline/Worcester
Ann (Bedeian) Coffin, 97, passed away July 9, 2018 at Homestead Hall. Her loving sister, Mary Hovsepian of Worcester, and devoted niece and caretaker, Marlene Markarian of Paxton, were at her side.
Ann leaves a son, Robert, of Cary, N. Carolina, and several generations of extended family. She was pre-deceased by her brother-in-law, Leon Hovsepian of Worcester, and nephew Leon Hovsepian II, of West Boylston.
Ann was born on September 17, 1920, in Bettendorf, Iowa, the daughter of Vahan and Arakse (Potigian) Bedeian. In her teens, Ann and her family moved to Worcester, where Ann graduated at the top of her class in secretarial studies from the former Commerce High School. She moved to Brookline, her home for over 60 years, where she worked for the Shawmut Bank (Bank of America) as a foreign currency exchange specialist. Her years in Brookline were happy ones, spent with friends and enjoying the excitement of Boston.
Ann's family would like to extend their thanks to the staffs at Homestead Hall and JHC Hospice for the compassionate care and love she received from them.
According to Ann's wishes, there are no calling hours, and the burial will be private. Arrangements are in the care of Callahan Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
