AUBURN-Ann L. (Malauskas) Fedyk, 99, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 56 years, Michael Fedyk, 81, died in 2004. She leaves a son, Michael J. Fedyk of Worcester; three daughters, Janet M. O’Brien of Worcester, Linda A. Girouard of St. Mary’s, GA, Joni M. Fedyk of Saugerties, NY; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, John M. Fedyk died in 1955.

She was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, daughter of Peter and Agnes Malauskas. Ann was a wire tester for Sprague Electric, retiring in 1983. She was a member of North American Martyrs Church and its Women’s Club and loved to do volunteer work at what is now The Arc, which helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

She loved to travel to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She also loved walking the beaches in Clearwater Beach and Fort Myers, FL where she and her husband spent many winters. Her mind was kept sharp by doing so many puzzles and word searches. Together, 66 years ago, Mom and Dad built a beautiful home to raise a family that loved them so very much.

A Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 2 at 10am in the North American Martyrs Church, 9 Wyoma Dr. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday, May 1 from 5 to 7pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at www.dana-farber.org in thanks for all they did for her grandson, Michael John Fedyk.
