WORCESTER-Ann M. (Occhialini) Finne passed away Monday, December 22 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Her husband, Robert R. Finne passed away in 2000. She leaves four children, Karen Fay of Worcester, Robert Finne and his partner, Meg of New Beford, Kristen Cariglia and her husband David of Holden and Annmarie Finne with whom she lived; twelve grandchildren, Lianne and her husband, Scott Renaud, Alyssa Fay and her partner, Dustin, Eric Fay, Zachary Finne, Bryan Gregoire and his wife, Leah, Steven Gregoire and his wife, Ashley, Megan Silva and her husband, Nathaniel, Andrew Gregiore, Hannah Janeczak, Dyllan Quinn, Jackson Quinn and his partner, Ryan and Felipe Gomes; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, among them Neil McLaughlin who was also her friend and her beloved dog, Olivia. Her son-in-law, Robert Fay and two sisters, Donna Calcagni and Helen McLaughlin predeceased her. She was born in the Jefferson section of Holden, daughter of Silvio A. and Catherine C. “Jenny” (Zavistoski) Occhialini and graduated from South High School.
Ann dabbled in various jobs throughout her career in Worcester, but her main career was raising and taking care of her family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She liked to read a good book and in recent years enjoyed doing so on her kindle, along with scrolling Facebook. She also loved watching the Red Sox and humming along to her favorite song “Sweet Caroline” during the bottom of the 8th inning. But her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Visiting Hours will be held Saturday, December 27 from 12pm to 2pm with a Funeral Service at 2pm in Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be private in All Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Shriner’s Research Hospital for Children at www.shrinerschildrens.org
