Ann M. Rana

West Boylston- Ann M. (McMahon) Rana, 97, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the Holden Nursing Home. Mrs. Rana was born in Clinton, daughter of John T. and Catherine V. (Noonan) McMahon and graduated from Clinton High School. Ann was one of ten children, all of whom predeceased her. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clifton L. Handy in 1976 and then by her late husband, Michael R. Rana in 2017. Ann was predeceased by her son, Clifton M. Handy and granddaughter, Christine Dodd. She is survived by four children; Thomas L. Handy and his wife, Judith of NC, Richard J. Handy of FL, Nancy A. DePatsy of Northborough, John T. Handy of FL and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Handy, wife of Ann's late son Clifton Handy. Ann had twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Ann was a loving and devoted mother and "Grammie." The center of her world was her family. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, sporting events and hosting family gatherings. Ann found joy in baking, sewing and piano. She enjoyed challenging her family in a game of cards. Ann will be deeply missed.
Funeral services and burial at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston are private. Arrangements are in the care of Fay Brothers Funeral Home, West Boylston.
