Anna M. Borjeson

November 4, 1930 — October 2, 2024

West Boylston

WEST BOYLSTON-Anna Mary Borjeson, 93, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 2, with family by her side. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Ronald and Loretta (French) Decker. She was the eldest of six children. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, and 2 sisters and also leaves behind a brother, Paul Decker of Oxford, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ronald Iver Borjeson, who passed away in 2009. They built a beautiful life together in Leicester and settled in West Boylston. Their door was always open to friends and family, especially in times of need. She leaves behind three sons; Ronald Borjeson and his fiancee, Sheila Garzoni of Plymouth; Richard Borjeson and his fiancee, Carolyn Mesagno of Hudson, FL; Alan Borjeson of Port Richey, FL; and her daughter Marcia Roberts and her husband Todd Roberts of West Boylston. Her children were dedicated to caring for her until the very end. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, among them Jeremy Borjeson and his wife Jenn of Rutland; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She enjoyed her family more than anything and her home was their hub. It was so very welcoming and there was always company. She always had something in the oven, a craft on the table, and a warm smile to greet you. She spent her early years volunteering for countless events and organizations. Closest to her heart was the American Legion. Many will remember her for her dedication to making and selling poppies at local stores around Memorial Day. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and found great honor in the organization. Her leisure time was spent playing cards with loved ones or bowling with the local ladies league. She was a collector, whether it was historical treasure found digging at local mills with her husband or collecting shells on her beloved beach trips. She had a spirited wit and loved to laugh. She left a positive impact on all who loved her and will be missed deeply.

Mrs. Borjeson's visiting hours will be on Tuesday, October 8th at 10:00 a.m. at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with a burial at Mt.
