Anna DiPietro

July 22, 1920 — June 20, 2020

Anna (DeMarco) DiPietro, 99, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020 at her home surrounded by loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles DiPietro who passed away on September 7, 2019 with whom she shared 80 years of marriage.

She was born in the West End of Boston, Massachusetts on July 22, 1920 a daughter of the late Matthew Demarco and Antonina Luizza. Anna and her husband founded Camp Woodhaven in West Boylston over 60 years ago on farm land owned by Charles' father. They devoted their life to the work at Camp Woodhaven and mission work in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.  Anna served as a spiritual leader as a coworker with her sister Jaqueline with the Super Saints of Hope Assembly in Saugus Massachusetts until early 2020.

She leaves behind three loving daughters, Elizabeth Cavallaro, Jeanne DeTellis and Karen Legrow, nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister Jacqueline and her brother Frank

Besides her beloved husband and her parents, Mrs. DiPietro was predeceased by her brothers Joe and Peter and her sisters Lena and Mary.


Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life with a funeral service beginning at 10:00am on Thursday, June 25th at Camp Woodhaven, 55 Campground Rd., West Boylston. She will then be laid to rest beside her husband at Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Woodhaven at P.O.Box 777, West Boylston, MA 01583.
