Anna M. Murphy

AUBURN-Anna M. (Halloran) Murphy, 97, passed away Saturday, May 3.

Her husband, James W. Murphy passed away in 1986. She leaves her son, Denis J. Murphy and his wife, Gail of Auburn; two grandchildren, Kimberlee and Timothy; four great grandchildren, Christofer, Ryan, Kaitlyn and Bryanna, nieces and nephews.

She was born in Worcester, on the campus of The College of Holy Cross, the daughter of Patrick and Anna (Murphy) Halloran. Mrs. Murphy worked as an operator for the former New England Telephone Company. She was a founding member of North American Martyrs Church in Auburn and was a member of the Pioneers of America Club.

Her funeral will be Thursday, May 8 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 AM at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 7 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
