WORCESTER- Anne M. Reidy, 84, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Odd Fellows Home.
She was born in Worcester on February 27, 1936 a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Tomasunas) Reidy. After graduating from high school, she went to work as a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company ("Ma Bell") until her retirement. Anne was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. John's Church.
She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the Worcester Senior Center, and being with friends and family. She also enjoyed many trips to Foxwoods Casino where she would try her luck on the slot machines and enjoy meals at the extravagant buffets.
She leaves behind her cousins Nancy T. Kay of Shrewsbury, Maryanne F. Lane and her husband Earl, of Worcester, John F. Kay and his wife, Cindy of North Andover, their children Samantha and Kevin, and extended family members.
Her family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of St. Vincent Hospital, Dodge Park Rest Home, Odd Fellows Home, and Vo of St. Paul's Elder Care Outreach for the exceptional care they provided.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Saturday, December 26th with visiting hours from 9:30am until 10:30am at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am at St. John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to St. Paul's Elder Outreach Services at 19 Chatham St., Worcester, MA 01609.
