Anne M. Richard, 90, passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 16, 2025. Born on October 2, 1934, in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Earl M. and Margaret J. Foley.

Raised in Worcester, Anne was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. Anne was employed by AdCare Hospital as an admissions and telecommunications director and later worked at Southgate at Shrewsbury as the resident services director for 19 years until her retirement at the age of 76.

She spent 35 years residing in West Boylston before moving to Webster several years ago. Throughout her life, she was known for her nurturing spirit, which she extended not only to her family but also to her passions, such as caring for succulents, indulging in her interest in QVC, and faithfully reading the Telegram every day.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen Barnard of Worcester, Thomas Robichaud of Webster, Mary Ellen Wessell and her husband James of Rochdale, and Margaret Robidoux of Acton. Anne's legacy also continues through her grandchildren: Sean, Richard, Melissa, Julie, Shelby, Donnie, Michael, and Anne Marie, as well as her six great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Mary Daley of Worcester and many nieces and nephews.

Anne M. Richard was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luke H. Richard, Jr. in 1992, her son James Robichaud in 2018, and her brothers John, Joseph, and James.

The family of Anne would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mary Ellen (Mel) Smith, her aid and companion who took such wonderful care of her, her neighbor Carol who brought Anne’s paper to her every day, the emergency department, the surgical and anesthesia teams, the ICU at UMass University, and nurses Meggy and Melissa for their compassionate care of Anne.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Anne’s life with a graveside service on Wednesday, August 27th at 11am in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Church Street, West Boylston. Her son, James Robichaud who passed in 2018, will be laid to rest at the same time.
