Annis R. Rivers

WORCESTER- Annis R. (LaRoche) Rivers, 61, of 8 Auburn St., died Sat., Aug. 18 in University Commons after a battle with cancer. She leaves her daughter, Dawn Lord and her husband, Sean of Southbridge, a stepdaughter, Lana Laczka of Upton, a stepson, Kenneth Rivers, of Northbridge, a sister, Rita Lefevre of Plainfield, CT and her good friend John Brown with whom she lived. She also leaves step grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, many close friends and her birth mother, Ernestine May Robbins of Danielson, CT. She was predeceased by her former husband George E. Rivers.

She was born in New London, CT and was the adopted daughter of Pierre and Rosilda (Tellier) LaRoche. She was a 1964 graduate of Killingly High School in Danielson, CT. Annis worked at Bonworth Clothing Outlet. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima Church where she was a member of the Women's Guild and a volunteer bingo worker.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 24 from 5:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be private.
