Arthur Philip Mallios, age 93, of Worcester, MA died peacefully in the comfort of his home with his loving wife and family by his side on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Arthur is survived by his devoted wife Triantafillia, his son Philip Arthur Mallios, his daughter Virginia Rinne, his sister Helen D. Gatzogiannis, his granddaughter Kayla Lawlor and her husband Roger, his great grandson Jasper and his loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves his brother-in-law and family in Greece.  He was predeceased by his parents, brother Charles Mallios, his daughter-in-law Brynja Mallios, his son-in-law Patrick Rinne and his brother-in-law Demitrios Gatzogiannis.

Arthur was born in Gardiki, Epiros Greece the son of Philip A. Mallios and Eugenia (Liontou) Mallios. His father emigrated to America and brought his family over when Arthur was 10 years old. He graduated from Commerce High. He was a Radio Operator with the U.S. Army stationed in West Germany during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he worked his way up at Table Talk Pie, and went back to Greece and married Triantafillia (Rose) in 1957 and have been inseparable ever since.  After his career with Table Talk, he and Rose worked side-by-side, 90 hours a week at Penny’s Pizza providing for their children until their retirement in 1995.  After retirement, they spend time at Ahepa, Senior Club at St. Spyridon's. He enjoyed playing gin rummy with is pals at St. Spyridon’s Senior Center, visiting friends and family with Rose, and traveling to visit family in Greece. He enjoyed his crosswords, jumble and word search.  

Arthur was a hard-working, dedicated family man with a generous heart who was always there to help and support anyone in need. He was a loving husband and dad who selflessly devoted his life to his wife Rose and his children. Arthur was a quiet, soft-spoken, pensive man, kind-hearted, who was very proud of his children and their accomplishments.  He will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank the caring Staff at Summit Elder Care for the compassion and support they provided Arthur and the family for the last 6 months up until his passing.

Family and friends will celebrate his life on Saturday, July 1st with a visiting hour from 9-10am at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester. His funeral service will follow at 10am and burial will conclude at Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. His family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester, MA 01609.
