WORCESTER- Avis C. Olson, 91, passed away peacefully on July 9, at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Caribou, ME, on February 24, 1924 a daughter of the late Carl A. and Anna M. (Johnson) Olson. At a young age her family moved to Worcester, where she would reside until her passing. Avis attended local schools and went on to work at the Woodberry Company in Worcester, as a press operator for over 47 years.
Most important to Avis was her family and she will be deeply missed by her sister, Ann M. Olson of Worcester, ten nieces and nephews, seventeen great nieces and nephews, twenty-five great-great nieces and nephews and two great-great-great nephews.
She was predeceased her sisters, Phyllis Greenwood and Patricia Elliott, and also a brother, Robert Olson.
A graveside service is to be held on Friday, July 17, at 10am in Hope Cemetery.
The CALLAHAN-FAY-CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester, is assisting the family with arrangements.
