Barbara E. Blanchard

Barbara E. (Hickman) Blanchard, 81, formerly of Electric St. died Tues., June 19, in the Christopher House. Her husband James L. Blanchard died in 1984. She leaves three children, James W. and his wife Carol A. Blanchard of Narragansett, RI, Pamela A. and her husband Robert F. Murphy of Auburn and Sandra J. and her husband Christopher A. Doyle of Worcester; nine grandchildren, James R. Blanchard, Robert J. Murphy, Jillian M. Murphy, Erin M. Murphy, Christopher R. Doyle, Alicia A. Doyle, Craig J. Doyle, Kerrin K. Doyle and Peter C. Doyle and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of William and Emilia (Ewing) Hickman and graduated from Commerce High School.

Barbara worked for Commerce Card Shop, before retiring. She was a member of the North American Martyrs Church and the Auburn Senior Center.

The funeral will be held Fri., June 22, from Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at Noon in North American Marytrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Fri., June 22, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
