Barbara G. Cayer

WORCESTER-Barbara G. (Hanley) Cayer, 73, of Worcester, went into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, August 22 at Saint Vincent Hospital after a long struggle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She leaves two sons, James R. and Thomas C. Cayer, both of Worcester; three daughters, Donna L. Williams, Doreen M. Cayer and Darlene M. Cayer, all of Worcester; two brothers, Bob and Harold Hanley, both of Worcester; a sister, Frances Ruggles in PA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Brian P. Cayer and two brothers, David and Jack Hanley.
She was born in Spencer, the daughter of Joseph E. and Eva M. (Gagne) Hanley and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. Barbara was a private duty nurse for many years and also waitressed at the Parkway Diner for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was once a member of the Worcester Dart League.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 25 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd.
