AUBURN-Barbara J. (Bock) Wilson, 85, of Auburn passed away Sunday, May 10 in the Jewish Healthcare Center.
Her husband of 55 years. Robert J. “Flip” “Hoppy” Wilson died in 2015. She leaves six children, Debbie A. Ludden of Auburn, Donna M. Hamilton and her husband, Robert of Wheelwright, Doreen L. Wilson of Auburn, Diane M. Nussey of Auburn, Denise M. LaBaire and her husband, Stephen of Worcester and Robert A. Wilson and his wife, Jen of Charlton; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two siblings, William “Barry” Bock and his wife, Cheryl of Rhode Island and Beverly Leger of Rutland and nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of William and Mildred (Naylor) Bock and graduated from Commerce High School.
Barbara was an office manager for over 20 years for Dr. Herbert Markley, prior to that she worked at the former Palson’s Office Supply on Main Street in Worcester. Barbara loved hosting big family events, in particular holiday parties, especially Christmas Eve. She enjoyed spending summer days at Hampton Beach and an occasional trip to the casino.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 18 at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Sunday, May 17 from 1 to 3pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Scholarship Fund at the Knights of Columbus, Alhambra Council #88, PO Box 20404, Worcester, 01602.
