Barlant B. Sarkees

WORCESTER-Barlant B. (Manoukian) Sarkees, 75, passed away Saturday, May 30 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Barlant was born in Mousal, Iraq, the daughter of Boghos and Noyemzar (Kasparian) Manoukian. Her Husband of 31 years Acob Sarkees died in 2003. Barlant leaves one son Shant and his wife Marychristine Sarkeesian of Worcester and a daughter Sela and her husband Christopher Horne of Worcester; a brother, Vazken Manoukian of Riverside, CA; a grandson, Orion C. Horne and several nephews and nieces including a niece Miriam Toufanian of Holden. Barlant was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour and was a loving grandmother and avid Bingo player.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 3 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Service at 12:00 Noon at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday, June 2 from 6-8 PM in the funeral home. A Dahngark Service will be held at 6:30 PM.
