Northborough-Bernard A. Carlomagno, 92, formerly of West Boylston passed away Saturday, September 21 after a period of declining health.
He leaves a daughter, Cheryl Carolan and her husband Kevin of Yarmouth, ME; a son, Bernard Carlomagno and his wife, Maureen of Auburn; a brother, Joseph Carlomagno and his wife, Carol of Worcester; a sister, Anna Goodney and her husband, Edward of Shrewsbury; four grandchildren, Lindsey, Bernie, Sean and Nathan; two great-grandchildren, Siena and Kinley; nieces, nephews and cousins. A daughter, Carol Ann Suntava; a brother, Paul Carlomagno and a sister, Theresa Errede predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Bernard A. and Michelena (DeSanti) Carlomagno Bernie graduated from Commerce High School and served in the Navy during WWII.
Bernie was a salesman for Cushman Bakeries for 12 years and an agent for Prudential Insurance Company for 30 years. In his retirement he worked for several years at West Boylston Insurance Agency. He was a former member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Worcester and the Harold N. Keith American Legion Post #204 in West Boylston.
Visiting Hours to Honor and Celebrate Bernie's life will be held Tuesday, September 24, from 5 to 7pm at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 25 at 11am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St., West Boylston, 01583.
