AUBURN- Bernard J. Mconville, 64, an Auburn resident for 37 years, died Wednesday, July 4 in Marlborough Hospital after a brief illness. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Lynn J. (Gustafson) McConville, three sons; Scott B. McConville and his wife Cynthia, David W. McConville and Mark J. McConville, all of Auburn; a daughter, Kimberly A. Roy and her husband Michael of Rutland; a sister, Patricia A. Doyle and her husband James of Auburn; a sister-in-law, Mary McConville of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Timothy, Bryan and Matthew McConville of Auburn and Alyssa, Andrew, Amanda and Anna Roy of Rutland; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, James W. and Thomas A. McConville.
He was born in Worcester, son of Thomas W. and Anna N. (Weiss) McConville, graduated from South High School and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. Bernie worked at J.J. Nissen Baking Company for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Teamsters Local 170 and an avid fan of the Red Sox and New England Patriots.
The funeral Mass will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 7th in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
