Bernard P. Stalilonis

September 30, 1945 — May 27, 2019

LAKELAND, FL-Bernard "Bernie" Stalilonis, 73, of Lakeland, FL and Old Orchard Beach, ME passed away May 27, 2019 at his home in Lakeland after a battle with cancer. He was born September 30, 1945 in Worcester to the late Arlene (Matulis) and Bernard Stalilonis Sr. Though he was born and raised in Worcester, he called Auburn home for nearly 30 years.

After graduating from Classical High School, he joined the Air Force and served from 1966-1970 in Germany. Bernie later graduated from Quinsigamond Community College and Central New England College with degrees in Business and went on to spend over forty years in the Banking Industry. He spent the majority of his career at WCIS in Worcester and Marlborough, serving as Vice President of Commercial Loans. In 1991 he was awarded the Marlboro Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the year and also served as President of the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce. During the last decade of his career, he was a Loan Officer at St. Mary's Credit Union, also in Marlborough.

Bernie was an avid golfer throughout his life and fulfilled a lifetime dream when he was able to move to Cypress Lakes in Lakeland, FL and spend his days golfing. It was here that Bernie shot two holes in one within a year of each other. It was through golfing that Bernie made many of his friendships and bonded with his brothers and son. When he wasn't golfing, he loved to socialize with family and friends in both his Florida and Maine communities, dance with his devoted wife of 13 years Karen (Kelley) Stalilonis, and relax with family at the beach in Old Orchard.

He will be deeply missed by his family including his wife Karen Stalilonis, his son Kyle Stalilonis and girlfriend Shelly Caldwell of Dudley; his daughter Corey (Stalilonis) Blais and husband Jesse Blais of Dover, NH; stepson Keith Lempicki and wife Michelle of Auburn; stepdaughters Tracy Bombard and husband Glen of Spencer; Jill Egan and Husband Josh of Auburn and his grandchildren Annabelle Blais, Kevin Caldwell, Nick Caldwell, Justin Caldwell, Sarah Lempicki, Ryan Lempicki, Cameron Egan and Addison Egan. He also leaves his three younger brothers Bob Stalilonis and wife Angie of Biddeford, ME; Bill Stalilonis and wife Kathy Stalilonis of Florida and Dennisport and Peter Stalilonis of Oakland, ME. He is predeceased by his wife Virginia (Provencal) Stalilonis in 2003.
