WORCESTER-Bernice R. (St. George) Redmond, 82, passed away Fri., March 23 at home.
Her husband, Clarence Redmond predeceased her. She leaves five sons, George "Spike" Redmond and his wife Elaine of Ohio, Clarence "Butch" and his wife, Linda of Charlton, Timothy and his wife Dawn of Worcester, Robert Redmond, Daniel Redmond of Worcester and a daughter, Patricia Redmond of Worcester; ten grandchildren, Derek, Timothy, Jr., Shannon, Kaylan, Lee Ann, Paul, Matthew, Patrick, Andrew, Kristen and Karen; five great grandchildren; her sister, Lucille Kazmierczak, nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Rita, Ruth Moss and Ruby Hatfield predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Ulric and Lucille "Lucy" (Pooler) St. George and graduated from Commerce High School. She worked for 20 years at Grafton and Worcester State Hospital and area nursing homes before retiring in 1985. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren is what she enjoyed the most.
The funeral will be Tuesday, March 27 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A visiting hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
