Beryl Morton

Shrewsbury-Beryl (Dent) Morton, 97, formerly of Worcester passed away Thursday, July 4 in the Shrewsbury Nursing Center. 

Her husband of 66 years, Derek W. Morton died in 2015. She leaves a son, John J. Morton of Manchester, England; three daughters, Julie E. Burgoyne and her husband, William of The Villages, FL, Diane L. Register of Santa Monica, CA and Jacquelyn T. Feliciano and her husband, Jose of Ocala, FL.; eight grandchildren, Shawn Burgoyne and his wife, Tina, Julie Desilet and her husband, Mike, Sarah Burgoyne and her partner, Jason Parker, Jennifer Bruinsma and her husband, Christopher, Emma Barrie and her husband, Paul, Mathieu Morton, Zackary Feliciano and Daniel Register; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. She was born in Manchester, England daughter of Frank and Emily (Phillips) Dent. 

Beryl was a legal secretary for Bowditch and Dewey Law Offices. She was a longtime member of St. Michael's on the Heights Episcopal Church. Beryl enjoyed crossword puzzles. Mrs. Morton's family would like to thank the Jewish Healthcare Hospice nurses and the staff at Shrewsbury Nursing Center for the wonderful care they provided. 

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 18 from 5-7 pm at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. A Funeral will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, July 19 at St. Michael's on the Heights Episcopal Church, 340 Burncoat Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marie’s Mission c/o St. Michael's on the Heights Memorial Fund, 340 Burncoat Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
