SUTTON- Betty A. (Bergeson) Bernard, 78, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at UMASS Medical Center.She was born in Worcester, daughter of C. Herbert and Hildur A.E. (Nelson) Bergeson and graduated from Millbury High School. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Leo J. "Yankee" Bernard in 2006.

She is survived by two daughters, Laurie L. Clark and her husband Burton Clark, Jr of Sutton and Amy-Beth Bernard of Webster; five grandchildren who adored their Grammy, Amelya Bernard, Alyssa, Andrew and Robert Clark and Amanda Reid and a great grandson, Hunter Clark and great granddaughter, Mikayla Clark. She also leaves a brother-in-law Lawrence Bernard of Southbridge, a cousin, Linda Fecteau of Dennis and several nephews and nieces. Betty was predeceased by her sister Ruth Lafayette, a brother, Raymond Bergeson and most recently her daughter-in-law, Jeanine M. Fahrbach in February.

Betty was a life time and active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed being home with her girls as they grew up and in later years she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great grandson. She worked in the Records Management Department for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years until retirement. Betty enjoyed knitting, sewing and going to yard sales. She was very proud of her Swedish heritage which was reflected in the décor of her home in W. Yarmouth where she enjoyed spending her summers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 7th at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street. Burial will follow in All Faith's Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements are in the care of LINDQUIST LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's name may be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Church.
