Betty B. Courtney, 80, formerly of Kendrick Ave., passed away with family at her side Dec. 14th. at Holden Nursing Home.
Her beloved husband of 50 years, Joseph Courtney died in 1999.
She leaves two sons, David Courtney and Joseph Courtney II both of Worcester and three daughters, Debra Anderson and Barbara Furhman, both of Worcester and Teresa Consolmagno of Barre and their spouses, and 13 grandchildren. A son, Timothy, died in infancy in1951 and a daughter, Carol, died in 1959.
Betty was born in Sheffield, England in 1923 to Annie (Wait) and George Bunting before moving to Millbury, in 1928. She was a payroll clerk at the former US Steel in Worcester.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, Dec. 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 931 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the T&G Santa, c/o Commerce Bank, P.O.
