Betty A. Hennessey, 89, of the Canterbury Towers on Wachusett St., formerly of 177 Highland St. died Wednesday, Jan. 17, at UMASS Medical Center. She leaves many nieces and nephews among them, Donna Williams of Worcester, Stephen Burgess of Shrewsbury, Wayne Burgess of W. Brookfield and Nancy Caissie of Merrimack, NH and many great-nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Anna Burgess, Lillian Whitney and Janette Bolduc and a brother, Walter Hennessey, predeceased her. She was born in Greenville, ME daughter of Walter and Clara (McPheters) Hennesssey and was educated in Greenville Schools.

Betty worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. for over 20 years, retiring years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, from Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 43 Belmont St. Entombment will be in St. John's Mausoleum. Visiting Hours are Friday, Jan 19, from 5:30 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
