West Boylston- Betty E. (Christenson) Lamberto, 86, passed away Wednesday, February 7.

Her husband of 43 years, Dominic Lamberto passed away in 1995. She leaves nine children, Dianne Sargent and her husband, Richard of Spencer, Marcia Lamberto of Brimfield, Don Lamberto of West Boylston, David Lamberto of Somers, CT, Valerie Davis and her husband Chris of Warwick, RI, Douglas Lamberto of West Boylston, Suzanne Menard of Rutland, Daniel Lamberto of West Boylston and Lisa Alexander and her husband, Eric of South Grafton; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, June Crone and her husband, Charles of Sterling; a brother in law, Norman Soderberg of Holden; her new friends, Pat and Ann at Coes Pond Village and nieces and nephews. A sister, Joyce Soderberg predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Harold and Delia (McGowan) Christenson and graduated from Commerce High School Class of 49".

Betty worked as an underwriter for the former State Mutual Insurance Company and for the Tatman & Park Insurance Company. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Boylston and active in the church's Ladies' Benevolent Society. Betty enjoyed cooking and baking and was proud to have published a cook book with two of her daughters. She loved reading, her Wednesday bowling league at Sawyers in Northboro and beating her friends at canasta. Betty enjoyed summering with family and friends in Raymond, Maine and she loved to travel, especially to Italy, Bermuda, Aruba and her favorite, Ireland. She enjoyed her last months at the Christopher House and quickly made many friends there. Above all else what gave Betty the most joy was her family and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 12 at 10:30am in the First Congregational Church of Boylston, 10 Church Street, Boylston. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Sunday, February 11 from 2:OO to 5:OOpm at FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester Street, West Boylston, 01583.
