Brad Maynard, 69, died Monday, July 3, after a lengthy illness in UMASS Medical Center, while here visiting family. He leaves his high school sweetheart and companion for the last eight years, Loretta (Myers) Rochette; a brother, Wentworth C. Maynard of Jefferson and a sister-in-law, Jeannette Maynard of Sturbridge. A brother, Alden U. Maynard predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Wentworth C. Maynard Sr. and Greta B. (Underwood) Maynard and was raised in Auburn and moved to Pinellas Park in 1960. He attended Auburn High School and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.
Brad was a movie projectionist for drive in and movie theatres and was a lightman for various stage productions in Florida for many years until retiring. He was an old car enthusiast and collected automobile models from the Danbury Mint.
Family and Friends will gather Saturday, July 8 at 10am in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Worcester with a graveside service to follow at 11am in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting Hours are Friday, July 7, from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the, Epilepsy Foundation 4351 Garden City Drive Landover, MD 20785
