Bruce R. Peterson

West Boylston-
Bruce R. Peterson, 56, of West Boylston passed away Thursday, October 16 after a valiant battle with Melanoma.


He leaves his wife of 23 years, Carol S. (Hay) Peterson; two daughters, Stephanie G. Peterson of West Boylston and Diane E. Peterson of West Boylston; a brother, Gary F. and his wife, Ann Marie Peterson of West Boylston; nieces and a nephew. He was born in Worcester, son of Frederick and Shirley (Harper) Peterson and graduated from West Boylston High 76' and Fitchburg State College 80'.
Bruce was a self employed contractor for many years, retiring due to illness. He loved working outside on the family farm and around his yard. Bruce loved all things Disney. He was also active on the West Boylston Building Committee and the West Boylston Bi-Centennial Parade Committee. Bruce was always helping others and enjoyed volunteering in any way in town and at school events.


Visiting Hours are Sunday, October 19 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street. A private burial service will be held in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
