WORCESTER
Calvin R. Power, 77, of Worcester died Tues., Aug. 28, at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Beatrice (Monroe) Power; two children, James Power and Pamela Turpin; two grandchildren, Michael Reynolds and Megan Turpin; a sister, Geraldine Gallant; a son-in-law, Alex Kapulka; many loving nieces and nephews and a family friend Kelley Urella. He was born in Worcester, son of Robert E. and Ethel L. (Mailman) Power.
Calvin was a heat treater at Wyman Gordon's Worcester plant for 35 years, before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal, three Bronze Stars, two Overseas Bars and the United Nations Service Medal.
Visiting Hours will be held Thurs., Aug. 30, from 6 to 8 PM at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Family and Friends will gather Fri., Aug. 31, at 10 AM at the funeral home and then proceed to Hope Cemetery for a Graveside Service at 11 AM.
