Carl H. Berg, 80, of Auburn died Thursday, August 27 in UMASS Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Olive (Blomstrom) Berg; a son, Scott E. Berg and a daughter, Christine M. Mann both of Auburn; a much loved grandson, Andrew E. Berg of Dudley; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. A sister and a brother, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of John G. and Emma O. (Lindegren) Berg and graduated from South High School and UMASS Amherst. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Carl was a sales engineer for several local companies for many years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Scandinavian Athletic Club.
The Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 31, at 11 AM in Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Ave. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours are Sunday, August 30 from 4 to 7 PM at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Ave., Auburn, 01501 or the charity of one's choice.
