Carl F. Carlson Jr. 75, of 12 Victoria Ave. died Thursday, Dec. 2, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves his wife, Barbara E. (Holmes) Carlson; a son, David Carlson of Worcester; five daughters, Sandi Carlson, Nancy wife of Carl Smith, Laurie wife of William Lebel, and Lisa Marlborough all of Worcester and Karen wife of John Lasko of Collegeville, PA; six grandchildren, Keith and Brynn Smith, Leo and Ashley Desrosiers, John and Nicholas Marlborough. He was born in Worcester, son of Carl F. and Helen (Johnson) Carlson and graduated from South High School. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a bronze star recipient.
Carl was the purchasing agent for Motor Services in Auburn for many years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church and past commander and life member of the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post %23279 in Auburn. He loved his family, country, cats and the Red Sox.
A Funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. Calling Hours are Sunday, Dec. 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. The American Legion will conduct a ritual at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Needy Cats, PO Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583.
