Carmen S. Diaz

Athol: Carmen S. Diaz, 64, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Brigham and Women's Hospital after an illness.

   She leaves her daughters; Nixaliz Rios and her husband Luis Robles of Athol and Sonimaryl Rios and her husband Oscar Mercedes of Athol, Her companion of 20 years, Zacarias Delbery with whom she lived, four grandchildren; Pedro, Yomaris, Angel & Joel, five great grandchildren; Luis, Yamilette, Mialyse, Milianys & Josiah, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Carmen was born in Florida, Puerto Rico, daughter of Elviro Diaz and Maria Rodriguez.  She loved to cook and clean and enjoyed dancing, salsa music and was always lending a helping hand whenever she could.  She was lovingly referred to as "Our Queen" by her family whom she adored and cherished the time she spent with them.  Carmen could be a bit feisty at times.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14th from 2:00-4:00 PM in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester a funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
