Carmen I.
Garcia
Aug 4, 1952 — Jun 29, 2026
Worcester
Carmen I. Garcia, 73, of Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 4, 1952, in Camuy, Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of Maria Cabrera and Jovino Garcia.
Carmen was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent many years as a supervisor at Imperial Medical Supply. Her work ethic was unmatched—she rarely missed a day of work, even when she wasn't feeling well. She believed in showing up, giving her best, and leading by example. Her dedication earned the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
Outside of work, Carmen's greatest joy was her family. She loved bringing everyone together for family gatherings, where her famous Puerto Rican rice dishes were always the centerpiece of the table. Her cooking was more than a meal—it was an expression of her love and care for those around her.
Carmen also enjoyed spending her quiet moments working on word searches, leaving puzzle books scattered throughout the house—a familiar and comforting sight to those who knew her best.
She was a woman of incredible strength, known for being strict, outspoken, and having a sharp edge when needed. Yet beneath that tough exterior was a deeply loving heart. She believed in discipline, honesty, and caring fiercely for those she loved. Her family knew they could always count on her guidance, her strength, and her unwavering love.
She leaves many behind that will miss her deeply including her long time companion Roberto Santiago, her son: Tomas Rivera, her daughters Isabel Rivera, Janet Rivera, her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, her son-in-law and daughter-in-law. She was predeceased by her parents, and Marisol Rivera (daughter).
