Carmen Torres

WORCESTER- Carmen Torres, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital.

She was born in Christiansted, St. Croix on October 10, 1942 a daughter of the late Maria Rosario and Rosendo Torres. She was raised on St. Croix and moved to Puerto Rico where she met and married her beloved husband, Julio Almodovar. They resided on Puerto Rico for many years before relocating back to St. Croix and later to Worcester where she has lived for the last 32 years.

For many years, Carmen was employed in housekeeping for local hotels. Above all her family meant the most to her and she cherished time spent with them.

She leaves behind her children, Raul Almodovar of New Jersey, Milagros Almodovar of New Jersey, Victor M. Almodovar Sr., of Worcester, Marisol Almodovar of Worcester, Basalisa Almodovar of Worcester, Cristino Almodovar of Philadelphia and Marcos A. Almodovar of Worcester; several grandchildren, great grandchildren extended family and friends.

Family and friends will celebrate her life with visiting hours on Monday, December 5th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service will be celebrated at 9:00am on Tuesday, December 6th in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
