Carol R. Zukowsky, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 11th, 2026. . She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Zukowsky, who predeceased her in 2024.

Born and raised in Worcester, Carol was the daughter of the late Doris (Lovely) and Hugh Donnelly. She was a proud graduate of South High School and carried her Worcester roots with her throughout her life.

Carol began her working career as a telephone operator for NET and later worked at Park Ave Pharmacy before finding her true calling as a florist at Stop & Shop, where she dedicated 23 years of service. Carol had a natural eye for beauty and a creative spirit that shone through in every arrangement she made.

Known for her big personality and quick wit, Carol had a presence that filled every room. She had an edgy sense of humor and a spark that made her unforgettable. People were naturally drawn to her energy, and she had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and at ease.

Carol loved life and lived it fully. She enjoyed trips to the casino, line dancing, and driving to Florida with her husband often with the kind of spirited banter that defined their marriage. Family vacations and gatherings, especially trips to Hampton Beach with friends and loved ones, were among her most cherished memories. She was also active at the local senior center, where she built lasting friendships and remained engaged in her community.

Carol leaves behind her children, Robert A. Zukowsky and his wife Lynn of Manchester, CT, Debra M. Bates and Kevin J. Zukowsky, both of Auburn; grandson, Joshua of Auburn; her sisters, Kathleen (Donnelly) Hassett and Linda (Donnelly) Hainsworth. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; and siblings, Hugh Donnelly, Richard Donnelly, Joanie (Donnelly) Hall and Doris (Donnelly) Darling.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Carol’s life with visiting on Thursday, February 19th from 8:00am until 9:30am at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am in St. Peter Catholic Church, 929 Main St, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Millbury.
